Refund Policy: Terms and Conditions at Nextbrit Academy
Applies to all regulated courses delivered by NextBrit Academy. Refunds are calculated on the fees you actually paid.
1. Eligibility Assessment
All enrolments are subject to NextBrit Academy’s admissions and eligibility verification. Applicants must provide accurate information and any qualification, identification, employment or prior-learning evidence requested.
2. If NextBrit Determines You Are Not Eligible
If NextBrit Academy determines that you do not meet the applicable entry requirements for the programme you purchased, we will first discuss whether an appropriate alternative pathway is available.
If no suitable alternative is agreed, course fees paid for that programme will be refunded, subject to your statutory rights and these terms.
3. Cancelling your registration
To cancel your registration you must tell the Academy in writing. What you may receive depends on how many calendar days
before your class commencement date your request reaches us.
| When your written request reaches us | What you may receive |
|---|---|
| 14 or more calendar days before the class commencement date | Up to 100% of your course fee |
| 5 to 13 calendar days before the class commencement date | Up to 75% of the total programme fee, on approval. 25% is retained as an administrative charge. |
| Fewer than 5 calendar days before the class commencement date | You cannot make a cancellation request |
The 75% figure applies if you paid the whole course fee in a single payment. If you are paying by instalments, you must complete an instalment of 25% of the total programme fee to activate your cancellation.
4. When no refund is made
A cancellation request can only be made up to 5 days before the class start date. No refund is made after the fifth day before the
class commencement date. No refund is made once classes have started, or once you have submitted any of your work.
5. What is never refunded
- The application and registration fee, once the 14-day and 5-day windows before commencement have passed. Fee retention
applies within the 5-day window before commencement. - Awarding organisation registration, examination entry and certification fees, once the Academy has submitted them. NextBrit
cannot recover these from the awarding body. - Resit, resubmission, late submission and replacement certificate fees.
- Bank charges, card processing fees, currency conversion losses and any other transaction-related charges. These are borne by the learner.
6. When no refund is due at all
No refund is payable where your place ends because of misconduct, malpractice, false information, non-payment or breach of the
Terms and Conditions of Enrolment; where you have completed the course or been certificated; or where you are unhappy with a
grade, which is dealt with under the Appeals Policy. Simply stopping attending is not withdrawal — you remain enrolled and liable
for fees until we receive your written notice.
7. If we cancel, and exceptional circumstances
If we cancel a course before it begins, you receive a full refund of everything you paid, or a transfer to the next intake. If we
withdraw it after it begins, you receive a pro-rata refund of tuition for the part not delivered. Separately, if serious illness,
bereavement or another event beyond your control prevents you continuing, write to us with supporting evidence, we may award
a fee credit or a free deferral outside the conditions above. Such decisions remain entirely at the discretion of NextBrit Academy
8. How to claim, and how you are paid back
Email info@nextbritacademy.co.uk with your name, learner reference, course and payment details. Written notice is required, we
cannot accept a cancellation by telephone. We acknowledge every request within 5 working days.
| Category | What happens |
|---|---|
| Who is paid | The original payer, by the original payment method. If a sponsor, employer or family member paid your fees, we repay them, not you. |
| Approved refunds | Decision within 10 working days; payment within 28 calendar days of that decision. |
